How to Fight the Coronavirus

Many people are taking precautious measures to prevent the coronavirus, such as taking extra vitamin c, elderberry, colloidal silver, garlic, using sanitizers, face masks, respirators and other types of prevention methods.

However, what if it's already too late and you, a family member, or loved one has already been affected by the coronavirus!? 😱

Unlike the common cold and flu, you'll want to take fewer doses of vitamins and herbs than usual to help kick it. You'll likely start out with a head cold and sinus congestion, but this will later begin to target the respiratory system, which can cause shallow breathing and shortness of breath, and is where pneumonia and asthma-like symptoms can occur. Therefore, you will want to take vitamins and herbs that help support the respiratory system. What we have found really helpful is oregano supplements such as Oreganol or OregaRESP, and Mykind Organics Vitamin C for adults and children 4 years and older, but fewer doses than recommended. You can still take an extra dose than usual of elderberry, vitamin C, colloidal silver, and raw garlic from whole food sources, just go easy and don't overdo it. These can be found at your local health food store, but be sure to only take them from whole food sources and avoid synthetic vitamins from commercial brands.

Most important, is to keep the air pathways clear and avert the body temperature from increasing. To do so, it will be extremely helpful to use a humidifier using cool or cold water only and sleep with your bedroom temperature slightly cool. This will help the air pathways to open up and prevent shallow breathing or suffocation, which is the greatest risk of this virus. Consequently, be sure to avoid any sedatives, suppressants, or pain medication that can restrict breathing or slow the heart rate. This is also true for taking too hot of baths and showers, or sitting in a hot tub.

Like any other cold virus, you will likely not be able to attend to all of your usual duties and responsibilities, so you might be missing a little bit of school or work during this time, but it's okay because remember - you're contagious anyway! So, be sure to rest up as much as you can and get that extra sleep that's required. Keep plenty of tissues on hand and keep your hands clean and sanitized. You do not want this virus to spread. But don't panic. The symptoms are milder than the flu.

It's important with all viruses to always avoid eating sugar or sugary foods and drinks, and dairy products, as this can imminently suppress the immune system and congests the lymph tissues. Your body will likely not crave those foods anyway. Instead, eat plenty of hot and spicy soups, and broths, drink plenty of liquids and all-natural fruit juices, including fruit and vegetable smoothies. These foods should help satisfy your palate during this time.

Cheers to good health!
